Granted you will not get a pancake quite so big or a biscuit as big as a brick but you get the idea. Personally, I-HOP serves up some great seasonal flavors of pancakes and you can add eggs, meat and potatoes for a much more reasonable price. For a local, the prices are a bit steep but for a tourist, used to paying top dollar at Disney World, Hash House A Go Go probably seems reasonable. They have other wildly popular outlets in Las Vegas, San Diego and Chicago just to name a few. In the last 8 years I have seen this location swallow three different attempts at a successful restaurant and I hope this will not be the case with Hash House A Go Go. While the Orlando location is on International Drive, it is a weird location in between the outlet malls and the main I-Drive strip. We liked Hash House A Go Go overall- the menu is unique and the service was great. Oh- they also had a Snickers flavored flapjack- that will have to be my next quest. Just by looking at it you could see that the kitchen did not skimp on the blueberries and pecans. It was so big I would have needed a forklift just to get it from the kitchen to our table. This single flapjack took over our table. The menu offered other flapjack favors like Blackberry Granola or Mango Coconut but he had his heart set on the Blueberry Pecan. He ordered the Tractor Driver Combo ($14) where he got the pancake alongside two eggs and his choice of bacon, sausage or potatoes. My friend ordered the Blueberry-Pecan Flapjack. Just not great- especially for the $13 price tag. Despite all my complaining it was still very good. It would have been a little dry otherwise. ![]() I ordered my eggs over easy so I was able to use the liquidly egg to sop up the veggie and potato mixture. The hash was pretty good- I do not think there was a lot of seasoning used to flavor anything which is OK with me since I am not a big salt person, but I would imagine if you do like to season your food you may be reaching for the salt shaker to give it a little more oomph. It was served in a cast iron skillet and like I said earlier, came with the world’s largest biscuit. However, besides my disappointment with my side of fruit, I liked the dish overall. Most restaurants do not advertise their meals are served with a sprig of parsley when the parsley is simply put on the plate to make the plate look pretty. The biscuit I will give them- it was the biggest biscuit I have ever seen in my life but the fruit? Does a single very thinly sliced piece of honeydew and a slice of orange count as a “served with” item or simply just a garnish? I though I was going to get maybe a little more than that. ![]() The vegetables are mixed with crispy potato chunks to create the “hash.” The menu was a little deceiving as it was claimed that my hash was “topped” with two eggs (they were served on the side) and also served with fruit and a biscuit. I ordered the veggie house hash with mushrooms, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes and spinach. The first thing that caught my eye were the hashes. On the breakfast menu we saw everything from eggs to waffles and French toast. The dining room wasn’t empty but it wasn’t packed either and we were able to get a booth right away. The pork tenderloin is as big as its famous counterpart from Indiana. Instead, you will get TWO patties with a variety of toppings stuffed in the middle- literally a stuffed burger. It is not just a burger patty with a few toppings. Everything on the menu has a twist.Ī simple example is their enormous burgers. Nothing here is “normal”- do not expect to go in and just order something simple. “Twisted Farm Food” is what they serve- that is the tagline at Hash House A Go Go.
